Southeast Missouri State University alumnus Joshua Shadwick of Coffeyville, Kansas, serves and protects Missouri's wildlife. He has found a challenging yet fulfilling job as a law enforcement agent protecting wildlife and other natural resources as a conservation agent with the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC).

Southeast Alumna Working with U.S. Department of State
When alumna Carol Backman of Cape Girardeau learned about the U.S. embassies overseas in high school and went home talking to her mother about it, she assumed it would not go anywhere. However, once she graduated from Southeast Missouri State University, her mother, who had made a mental note of the conversation, gave her a job application for a position with the U.S. Department of State.

After studying major public relations figures and agencies in his mass communications courses, Southeast Missouri State University senior Angelo Jones of St. Louis, took a leap of faith and moved to New York for the summer where he interned with Ketchum, one of the very agencies he learned about.

Southeast Missouri State University alumna Kelley Oswald of Ballwin, Mo., has two passions: dance and nutrition. Last season, Kelley expressed her passion as a dancer for the St. Louis Ambush Indoor Soccer team's dance team while advancing her education by studying nutrition at Saint Louis University.
