The Spring 2014 class of Emerging Leaders has been selected at Southeast Missouri State University.Emerging Leaders is a spring semester, University-sponsored student leadership program designed to further the development of the University's future leaders by refining their current leadership abilities and instilling in them a commitment to the campus and community.

Thirty-four Southeast Missouri State University students have been selected for membership in Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society for college students, faculty, staff, administrators and alumni.

Shawn Huering, raised on a farm in New Hamburg, Mo., recently qualified as an individual for the National Collegiate Club Golf Association tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C. While he did not win, he shot 84-85 and placed in 126 out of 208 competitors.

Southeast Missouri State University alumna Becky Bradley of Springfield, Ill., has become the first woman to be promoted as executive director of the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission in Pennsylvania.
