Southeast ICPC Teams Compete at North American Division Championships

For the first time in Southeast Missouri State University history, two International Collegiate Programming Competition (ICPC) student teams have competed in the ICPC North American Division Championships (NADC), with one finishing in the Top 15.

Southeast Hospitality Management Student Pursues Passion in the Peaks with Mountain Resort Internship

Southeast Missouri State University senior Jamie Shultz had never stepped foot on a ski resort before December. Now, the hospitality management major can be found at Kirkwood Mountain Resort overseeing daily operations for the resort's ticketing team. Shultz is completing an internship at the Kirkwood, California, resort before she graduates in May, and has spent the last four months working as a ticketing scanning lead for the resort.

Southeast Debate Team Places in Top 5 at National Championship

The Southeast Missouri State University debate team finished fifth in the virtual Education Debate Association's (NEDA) National Debate Tournament March 27. The team of sophomore Olivia Fensterman of Edwardsville, Illinois, and junior Jaina Ryanne Bemis of Alton, Illinois, placed fifth out of 43 teams at the NEDA National Debate Tournament. Additionally, Fensterman was recognized individually with the "Top Speaker" award.
