Southeast Missouri State University Collegiate DECA students won high honors in the 2022 Collegiate DECA State Career Development Conference and Competition Feb. 17 in Lake Ozark, Missouri.

For the tenth consecutive year, the Southeast Missouri State Cyber Defense Team has won the Missouri Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC).

"The Intimacy of Environment: A Visual Exploration of the Figure in Space," an exhibition of works by Southeast Missouri State University student artists, in on view from March 8-April 1 at The Nest Gallery at Southeast's River Campus.

The heartwarming musical drama, "The Spitfire Grill" takes the stage March 3-6 at Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus. As part of the River Campus Second Stage Productions, students from Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance make up the cast and production team.

From June 20-26, 2021, the geoscience students embarked on a trip to search for dinosaur fossils, and they did not return empty handed.

For the first time in Southeast Missouri State University history, two International Collegiate Programming Competition (ICPC) student teams have competed in the ICPC North American Division Championships (NADC), with one finishing in the Top 15.

The Southeast Missouri State University Cyber Defense Team took third place at the virtual 2021 Erich J. Spenger Midwest Regional Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC).

Southeast Missouri State University senior Jamie Shultz had never stepped foot on a ski resort before December. Now, the hospitality management major can be found at Kirkwood Mountain Resort overseeing daily operations for the resort's ticketing team. Shultz is completing an internship at the Kirkwood, California, resort before she graduates in May, and has spent the last four months working as a ticketing scanning lead for the resort.

The Southeast Missouri State University debate team finished fifth in the virtual Education Debate Association's (NEDA) National Debate Tournament March 27. The team of sophomore Olivia Fensterman of Edwardsville, Illinois, and junior Jaina Ryanne Bemis of Alton, Illinois, placed fifth out of 43 teams at the NEDA National Debate Tournament. Additionally, Fensterman was recognized individually with the "Top Speaker" award.

Southeast Missouri State University's Department of History and Anthropology will feature the work of four historic preservation students in three exhibitions opening April 15 on Kent Library's main floor.
