Torey Elder Awarded Jean Provance Scholarship to Attend Southeast's Malden Campus

Torey Elder of Qulin, Mo., has been awarded a Jean Provance Memorial Scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University-Malden for the 2012-2013 academic year.

To receive the Jean Provance Memorial Scholarship, a student must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours at Southeast Missouri State University-Malden, have a 3.0 GPA, and have verified financial need. The scholarship award is valued at $5,000.

Elder is married to Colton Elder and is the daughter of Rhonda David of Qulin and the late Gary Davis. She was a 2009 graduate of Twin Rivers High School in Qulin. She will be a junior at Southeast and is majoring in middle and secondary education with a minor in language arts and science.
