Southeast Student Riley James Graduates Emerging Leaders

Riley James of Emden, Mo., has completed the Emerging Leaders Program at Southeast Missouri State University.]

James is the daughter of Bryan and Diane James of Emden. She was a 2012 graduate of Monroe City High School in Monroe City, Mo. She is a freshman at Southeast, double majoring in dance and hospitality management. James is a member of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and University Dancers United and is the Dance Chair of Gamma Phi Beta sorority.

Emerging Leaders is a spring semester, University-sponsored student leadership program designed to further the development of the University's future leaders by refining their current leadership abilities and instilling in them a commitment to the campus and community. The program is open to first-year and second-year students interested in developing their leadership skills and connecting with other students. Topics such as communication, diversity, time management and professionalism are covered through fun, creative activities and personal exploration.
