Southeast Student Michael Cox Graduates Emerging Leaders

Michael Cox of Centralia, Mo., has completed the Emerging Leaders Program at Southeast Missouri State University.]

Cox was a 2012 graduate of Hallsville High School in Hallsville, Mo. He is a freshman at Southeast majoring in physical education and minoring in coaching. Cox is a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and has made the Dean's List.

Emerging Leaders is a spring semester, University-sponsored student leadership program designed to further the development of the University's future leaders by refining their current leadership abilities and instilling in them a commitment to the campus and community. The program is open to first-year and second-year students interested in developing their leadership skills and connecting with other students. Topics such as communication, diversity, time management and professionalism are covered through fun, creative activities and personal exploration.
