Southeast Student Kendell Cowell Graduates Emerging Leaders

Kendell Cowell of Waterloo, Ill., has completed the Emerging Leaders Program at Southeast Missouri State University.]

Cowell was a 2012 graduate of Waterloo High School in Waterloo. She is a sophomore at Southeast majoring in biology and minoring in zoology. Cowell is a member of the National Honor Society and was on the Dean's List. She was a member of the First-Year Leadership Program.

Emerging Leaders is a spring semester, University-sponsored student leadership program designed to further the development of the University's future leaders by refining their current leadership abilities and instilling in them a commitment to the campus and community. The program is open to first-year and second-year students interested in developing their leadership skills and connecting with other students. Topics such as communication, diversity, time management and professionalism are covered through fun, creative activities and personal exploration.
