Southeast Student Destiny Brooks Graduates Emerging Leaders

Destiny Brooks of Perryville, Mo., has completed the Emerging Leaders Program at Southeast Missouri State University.]

Brooks is the daughter of Richard and Dawn Marshall. She was a 2012 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Brooks is a freshman at Southeast majoring in psychology and minoring in family studies. She is a member of the Psychology Club and recipient of the Best Paper at the Student Research Conference in 2013.

Emerging Leaders is a spring semester, University-sponsored student leadership program designed to further the development of the University's future leaders by refining their current leadership abilities and instilling in them a commitment to the campus and community. The program is open to first-year and second-year students interested in developing their leadership skills and connecting with other students. Topics such as communication, diversity, time management and professionalism are covered through fun, creative activities and personal exploration.
