Sharon Berry Appointed as Presidential Ambassador at Southeast Missouri State University

Sharon Berry of Cape Girardeau, Mo., has been appointed by Dr. Kenneth W. Dobbins, president of Southeast Missouri State University, to serve as a Presidential Ambassador at the University in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Presidential Ambassadors are student representatives of the president of the University. The Ambassadors assist the president and his staff in greeting and assisting visiting guests and dignitaries, serving at presidential functions and promoting good will to all those outside the University.

Berry was a 1982 graduate of Berkeley High School in Berkeley, Mo., and is currently a senior at Southeast majoring in social work. With her degree, Berry would like to become a director of a substance abuse facility. She is a McNair Scholar and attended the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Berry attended the Summer Research Opportunities Program at the University of Illinois in the summer of 2013.

Berry is married to William Bell of Cape Girardeau and has two children, Carman and Ayana. She is the daughter of Leslie Berry of St. Louis, Mo., and the late Eva Copeland.
