Riley James Appointed as Presidential Ambassador at Southeast Missouri State University

Riley James of Emden, Mo., has been appointed by Dr. Kenneth W. Dobbins, president of Southeast Missouri State University, to serve as a Presidential Ambassador at the University in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Presidential Ambassadors are student representatives of the president of the University. The Ambassadors assist the president and his staff in greeting and assisting visiting guests and dignitaries, serving at presidential functions and promoting good will to all those outside the University.

James was a 2012 graduate of Monroe City High School in Monroe City, Mo., and is currently a sophomore at Southeast, double majoring in dance and hospitality management. She is a member of Gamma Phi Beta, Phi Eta Sigma, First-Year Leadership Program, Campus Outreach and Big Brothers Big Sisters. James received the Missouri Leadership Scholarship, President's Scholarship and Visual Performing Arts Scholarship to attend Southeast. She is a Resident Assistant for Dearmont Hall, Treasurer of University Dancers United and was Gamma Phi Beta Freshman of the Year.

James is the daughter of Bryan and Diane James of Emden.
