Parker Butler Appointed as Presidential Ambassador at Southeast Missouri State University

Parker Butler of East Prairie, Mo., has been appointed by Dr. Kenneth W. Dobbins, president of Southeast Missouri State University, to serve as a Presidential Ambassador at the University in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Presidential Ambassadors are student representatives of the president of the University. The Ambassadors assist the president and his staff in greeting and assisting visiting guests and dignitaries, serving at presidential functions and promoting good will to all those outside the University.

Butler was a 2012 graduate of East Prairie High School in East Prairie and is currently a sophomore at Southeast majoring in advertising and public relations and minoring in marketing management. With his degree, Butler hopes to become a marketing director for a corporation. He is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, student government and the Student Alumni Association.

Butler is the son of Floyd and Kim Butler of East Prairie.
