Maura Kellams Appointed as Presidential Ambassador at Southeast Missouri State University

Maura Kellams of Portageville, MO, has been appointed by Dr. Carlos Vargas, president of Southeast Missouri State University, to serve as a Presidential Ambassador at the University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Presidential Ambassadors are student representatives of the president of the University. The Ambassadors assist the president and his staff in greeting and assisting visiting guests and dignitaries, serving at presidential functions and promoting good will to all those outside the University.

Kellams is a junior pursuing a degree in elementary education. She is a member of Southeast's chapter of the Student Missouri State Teachers Association, and is a recipient of the Outstanding Community College Scholarship and Dr. James M. Drickey Elementary Education Scholarship. Kellams is the daughter of Joey and Millie Kellams of Portageville, Missouri, and is a 2015 graduate of Portageville High School and 2017 graduate of Three Rivers College.
