Lee Mwangi Appointed as Presidential Ambassador at Southeast Missouri State University

Lee Mwangi of Nairobi, Kenya, has been appointed by Dr. Carlos Vargas, president of Southeast Missouri State University, to serve as a Presidential Ambassador at the University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Presidential Ambassadors are student representatives of the president of the University. The Ambassadors assist the president and his staff in greeting and assisting visiting guests and dignitaries, serving at presidential functions and promoting good will to all those outside the University.

Mwangi is a sophomore pursuing a degree in mass communication: tv and film. His career aspirations include becoming a television and film producer and starting up his own production company dealing with advertisements and video production. He is a Resident Hall Representative, the Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator for the African Student Association and a player for the Kohlfeld Scorpions Rugby Club. He has previously served as a member of the Homecoming Planning committee and a Senator for the College of Liberal Arts. Mwangi is the son of Mory and Ayub Mwangi of Nairobi, Kenya.
