Jesse Weyand Appointed as Presidential Ambassador at Southeast Missouri State University

Jesse Weyand of Fredericktown, Mo., has been appointed by Dr. Kenneth W. Dobbins, president of Southeast Missouri State University, to serve as a Presidential Ambassador at the University in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Presidential Ambassadors are student representatives of the president of the University. The Ambassadors assist the president and his staff in greeting and assisting visiting guests and dignitaries, serving at presidential functions and promoting good will to all those outside the University.

Weyand was a 2011 graduate of Fredericktown High School in Fredericktown. He is currently a sophomore majoring in biomedical science and minoring in mathematics at Southeast. He is an Emerging Leaders facilitator, on the Library Committee and has led two Bible studies at the Baptist Student Center.

Weyand is the son of Tom and Paula Weyand of Fredericktown.
