Erin Prendergast Appointed as Presidential Ambassador at Southeast Missouri State University

Erin Prendergast of Old Monroe, MO, has been appointed by Dr. Carlos Vargas, president of Southeast Missouri State University, to serve as a Presidential Ambassador at the University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Presidential Ambassadors are student representatives of the president of the University. The Ambassadors assist the president and his staff in greeting and assisting visiting guests and dignitaries, serving at presidential functions and promoting good will to all those outside the University.

Prendergast is a sophomore pursuing a degree in communication disorders. Her career aspiration is to become a speech pathologist or audiologist. She serves as a philanthropy co-chair for Southeast's Alpha Psi Chapter of Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority, and is a member of the Newman Center Leadership Team of the Catholic Campus Ministry. She is a recipient of the President's Scholarship, Residence Life Leadership Scholarship and Mid-America Lumbermens Association Scholarship. Prendergast is the daughter of Dan and Ellen Prendergast of Old Monroe, Missouri, and is a 2016 graduate of St. Dominic High School.
