Ellie Weilbrenner Appointed as Presidential Ambassador at Southeast Missouri State University

Ellie Weilbrenner of Mt. Vernon, IN , has been appointed by Dr. Carlos Vargas, president of Southeast Missouri State University, to serve as a Presidential Ambassador at the University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Presidential Ambassadors are student representatives of the president of the University. The Ambassadors assist the president and his staff in greeting and assisting visiting guests and dignitaries, serving at presidential functions and promoting good will to all those outside the University.

Weilbrenner is a junior pursuing a degree in nursing. Her career aspiration is to become a labor and delivery nurse. She serves as vice president of internal affairs for Southeast's National Panhellenic Council executive board; is a class representative for Southeast's chapter of Student Nurses Association; and is a member of Southeast's Delta Nu Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She is a recipient of the University Scholarship and Midwest Achievement Award. Weilbrenner is the daughter of Alex and Jenny Weilbrenner of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, and is a 2015 graduate of Mt. Vernon Senior High School.
