Ashley Harris Appointed as Presidential Ambassador at Southeast Missouri State University

Ashley Harris of West Paducah, Ky., has been appointed by Dr. Kenneth W. Dobbins, president of Southeast Missouri State University, to serve as a Presidential Ambassador at the University in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Presidential Ambassadors are student representatives of the president of the University. The Ambassadors assist the president and his staff in greeting and assisting visiting guests and dignitaries, serving at presidential functions and promoting good will to all those outside the University.

Harris was a 2010 graduate of Lone Oak High School in Paducah. She is currently a junior majoring in public relations and minoring in hospitality management at Southeast. Harris is a member and vice president of recruitment for Alpha Chi Omega sorority, fundraising chair for Greek Week Executive Board, Man and Woman of the Year slections co-chair for the Homecoming Planning Committee 2012, Show Me Day Coordinator for Southeast Missouri State University Office of Admissions, Panhellenic Sophomore of the Year for 2011-2012 and Alpha Chi Omega Sophomore of the Year for 2011-2012.

Harris is the daughter of Randy Harris of Paducah, Ky., and Paula Spear of West Paducah.
